Keep It Simple – One Size Does Not Fit All

Keep It Simple Friday Posts are short and to the point.  Even when keeping it simple and providing tips, it is important to note that one size does not fit all – in clothing, in business or in life.  Every post/tweet/update you read does not have to apply to you 100%, but you can still glean what works for you and what will help you.

Also, it is important to recognize that even as you look for resources to build success in your life (how to guides, instructions, and tips), there is no one size fits all answer.  Often, it is easier for the offeror to offer a one size fits all solution, it is up to you to customize it for your needs.  Consider the resources available to you and the advice therein, then adjust to fit your situation.  Don’t do something just because everyone else is doing it – this applies to blogging, tweeting, and facebooking.  (If someone says you HAVE to do something, ask yourself: does it make sense, is it sustainable, and if will help you meet a specific goal.)

Be responsible for yourself and your success.  If someone offers a solution that sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.  Don’t make it hard on yourself by trying to take the easy road.
